The Application Process

We fund organisations working in our priority areas.

Applications are made through an online form and you can download a PDF to view the questions in advance of submitting your application.

Making an Application
Please select which priority you would like to apply under below. You will then be taken through a four-step process to help you determine your eligibility, find out in detail what we are looking to fund and what is involved in making an application.

If you feel your application is eligible you can go directly to the application form. We advise that you go through the full application process first to ensure your work is eligible.

Decision making process

Following the application deadline, the applications received are first assessed for eligibility. Eligible applications are then considered against key factors from ABCT’s strategic framework.

For the open programme, applications are initially considered in a two-stage longlisting process by the ABCT team. Applications which progress through longlisting are then considered in a shortlisting meeting with two Board Members alongside the ABCT Team.

Applications which are shortlisted then go through a more in-depth review process, including a phone call or meeting to discuss the application in more detail prior to decision at the Grants Committee.
